The Heart Behind My Practice
Hi, I'm Rebecca! I'm so glad you're here and taking the time to learn a little more about me and what I can offer.
Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next? These are experiences we all face at different points in our lives. The truth is, no one gives us a guidebook for being human, and each of us has our own unique experiences, values, and hopes that shape the life we want to build.
My role isn't to tell you what your life should look like. Instead, I want to understand what's important to you. And if you're not quite sure yet, that's okay - we can figure it out together. From there, we'll work collaboratively to create a roadmap that reflects your values, builds on your strengths, and helps you move toward a life that feels meaningful, fulfilling, and true to who you are.
My Approach
I believe we're all shaped by our relationships—our relationship with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. These connections influence how we see ourselves, navigate challenges, and move through life.
Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand those patterns in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space. Together, we'll explore what's been getting in the way, make sense of your experiences, and use evidence-based strategies to help you move toward the life you want to create.
I support adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-esteem. I also work with individuals who are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD, OCD, or autism, tailoring therapy to their unique strengths, experiences, and goals.
Our Commitment to Inclusion
At Senack Psychotherapy and Consulting, everyone is welcome.
I am committed to providing an affirming, inclusive, and culturally responsive space where people of all backgrounds, cultures, identities, abilities, faiths, sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions, and relationship structures are treated with dignity and respect.
I recognize that each person's lived experiences, values, and identities shape how they move through the world. My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, respected, heard, and supported as your authentic self.
I also recognize that I will not share every client's lived experience. I am committed to approaching our work with cultural humility, curiosity, and ongoing learning. I welcome feedback to help ensure our work together feels collaborative, respectful, and responsive to your unique needs.
As a virtual practice based on the traditional, unceded, and unsurrendered territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe Nation, I acknowledge the enduring relationships that First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples have with these lands. I am committed to ongoing learning, reflection, and providing culturally responsive care that honours the diverse communities I have the privilege of serving across Ontario.
