Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes! I offer a free 15-minute virtual consultation to answer your questions, learn a little about what brings you to therapy, and help us determine whether we're a good fit.

What can I expect during the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, your goals, relevant background information, and any questions you have. Together, we'll begin developing a plan that feels right for you.

How long are sessions?

Most therapy sessions are 50 minutes. I also offer 100-minute sessions for clients who prefer a longer appointment or whose goals and schedule are better suited to having more time together.

During your consultation or first session, we can discuss which session length is the best fit for your needs.

What are your fees?

Individual Therapy (50 minutes): $130

Couples Therapy (50 minutes): $150

Family Therapy (50 minutes): $150

I also offer 100-minute sessions for clients who would benefit from a longer appointment. Fees for extended sessions are available upon request and can be discussed during your consultation.

Payment is due at the end of each session, and a receipt will be provided for insurance reimbursement where applicable.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions, as meeting consistently can help build momentum and support meaningful progress.

That said, there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we'll choose a schedule that aligns with your goals, your life, and what feels manageable for you. As therapy progresses, we can adjust the frequency to best support your needs.

Do you accept insurance?

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), many extended health benefit plans provide coverage. Because every plan is different, I recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage.

A receipt will be provided following each session for reimbursement purposes.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating a difficult life transition, struggling in relationships, or simply looking to better understand yourself, therapy can provide support, insight, and practical tools for change.

What's your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed appointments without notice, will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled session fee.

I understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you experience an emergency or extenuating circumstance, please reach out as soon as possible, and we'll discuss your situation together.

What if we're not the right fit?

Finding the right therapist is important. If it seems another therapist would better meet your needs, I'll gladly help connect you with appropriate resources or referrals.
